Cinderella absolutely wins in romantic ballroom scenes, which deserves to be in the conversation of Branagh’s best work.
The only reason why Moana gets an A and Brave gets an A- is because you know how I feel about musicals.
It’s such a joy to find something that hits you in all the right spots and to realize how it’s affecting you, isn’t it?

Aladdin felt much more like a new movie with an Easter Egg or quick reference than the “REMEMBER HOW GOOD THIS WAS!?” vibe of Beauty and the Beast.
It’s very checklist-y. “We’re a… FELLOWSHIP.” “It’s an opera about a RING.” “A… HOBBIT.”
It’s thematically stronger than some other superhero movies and I find that more interesting to watch (cough, Ant-man and the Wasp, other Marvel things).
