Christopher Plummer is always grumpy in real life but pulls off the doting father aspect so well here.
I got pretty complacent with this year’s quality. And then along came Jojo Rabbit, to slap me in the face and remind me that the majority of movies this year have been crap.
I keep calling Tom Middleditch, “Tom Hiddleditch.”
It’s such a joy to find something that hits you in all the right spots and to realize how it’s affecting you, isn’t it?

Guys, this movie turned 25 years old this past July and it’s on HBO. If you haven’t already seen it for some reason or if it’s been a while, watch this.
When I say five stars, it’s by no means an A or even an A-. That’s my level of enjoyment. People, you’re allowed to like bad movies.
Some part of me wishes they had made this a Thompson Squared roadshow between Tessa Thompson and Emma Thompson but alas. Can’t risk another Ghostbusters reaction, can we?
